Recommended Batten Size:
Minimum 38mm x 25mm for rafters not exceeding 600mm span. Battens to be secured with round wire or cut wire nails conforming to BS 5534.

Left hand - left hand verge tile and special half tile in alternate courses.
Dry Verge Scott Rooverge available in uPVC interlocking units left and right hand with stop end eaves units and ridge capping.

Fixing (minimum)
All perimeter tiles to be mechanically fixed in accordance with BS 5534.
17.5° - 29° Perimeter tiles to be nailed or clipped.
30° - 44° Each tile in alternate courses to be nailed or clipped in a chequer board pattern.
45° - 54° Each tile to be nailed or clipped.
55° and over: each tile to be nailed and clipped.
Nails to be 50mm x 2.65mm Aluminium. Reference AA.
Clips to be Scott Slemish Mk II standard tile clip. Reference AS.
Verge; Slemish MK II verge clip reference AS.

It is recommended that windloading calculations be carried out for all pitches, and ground conditions to ascertain if more onerous fixings are required.
